Come to Right Take Studio, and walk away with not just a recording of your song, mixed and mastered, but also a four-camera video of your live performance that can be streamed, even in real-time, across all the streaming social networks like Twitch, Facebook, Youtube, Tiktok. The studio is geared towards live performances so your videos will look and sound killer! We can also do augmented live video where you play live for the stream then do vocal overdubs later for a cleaner sound that can be re-synced with your video.

Layout + Amenities

    • The studio consists of two main rooms, a control room and a performance room.

    • There is a restroom adjacent to the control room.

    • The performance room has controlled HVAC and air purifiers. These are turned off during performances.

    • There is a small fridge for storing food, drinks etc.

    • There is an available ‘playroom’ with a TV, Playstation, Xbox, and pool table.

  • Parking at the studio is reserved for musicians only. There is also lots of parking in the adjacent cul-de-sac.

Sound

    • 24 simultaneous channels for live instruments and voices

    • Each channel is recorded raw into Pro Tools for any later post-work

    • The live sound is mixed and mastered via analog gear before being broadcast

    • 8 microphones available for drums: Kick, Snare, High hat, Overhead left, Overhead right, Rack tom left, Rack tom right, Floor tom

    • 2 channels for each of the instruments: 2 x 2 guitar cabs and 2 DI for bass

    • 5 vocal channels

    • 5 spare channels for ‘whatever’

    • The studio provides a comprehensive in-ear monitoring system that allows each musician to have their own in-ear mix

    • Due to the IEM system there is no requirement to have monitor wedges in the room

    • The IEM system can accommodate in-ear and over-ear systems, allowing for the use of headphones if a musician is not comfortable using in-ears.

  • All guitar cabinets are in isolated sound-dampened boxes. This is to reduce the sound ‘on stage’ and to stop ‘bleed’ into the vocal mics

  • There are 22 DMX controlled lighting fixtures, including large PARS, mini PARs, lighting strips, swivel head GOBOs, and laser effects.

  • No explanation needed! :)

    • Lights can be controlled remotely, via Lightkey, or left static for performances

    • The setting of the lights will affect the view of the stream

    • Four 4k cameras capture the performance

    • The main camera is on a 5 foot motorized camera slider, adding motion to the stream

  • The camera feeds are composed and streamed via OBS to the internet.

  • The video stem from the main camera can be recorded separately if requested.
